Last witch in the world, Faith Scott, and her Irish vampire boyfriend Trent have just come back from fighting for their lives to recover the Vampiric Blood gem and Werewolf Moon gem. Thinking they could finally relax and work on the romance growing between them, they now meet a mysterious psychic vampire named Vincent who has his heart set on being with Faith.
Soon bizarre killings of Zou Tai’s werewolf pack begin, with rumors of an alchemist possessing the famed philosophers stone being the assailant; which, causes Faith to turn to Vincent for help in figuring out why the werewolves are being murdered.
It isn’t long before all those around them test Trent and Faith’s love, along with their abilities, once again. It is all Trent can do to keep Faith safe by his side while both go up against a deadly alchemist, deceptive gods, and having to rescue the werewolf prince; yet, after a deal with the God of Werewolves will Trent be able to save himself too?
This book is possibly even better than the first. We continue almost where we left off at the end of Vampyre Kisses. Faith has gotten a new house, Trent is moving in with her. Zou Tai has been busy with his pack and Morgan has assumed leadership of the local vampires. Life is getting back to normal, as normal as it can get for Faith anyway. But then as soon as you have a vision of normalcy it begins to fall apart. Zou Tai's fellow pack members are being taken and murdered, Morgan begins acting strange, and Vincent the psychic vampire falls for Faith. Of course, there are greater powers meddling in Faith's life even though she doesn't see it and the story becomes nonstop action and adventure where we see Faith taking a much more active role and really embracing her powers. I loved this sequel to Vampyre Kisses. It was just wonderful. Right up until the end. It was insane! I don't want to spoil it but it looked like things were going to be fine just by the skin of their teeth and then-BAM- craziness ensues in the last few pages. Liz sure knows how to string us along. But of course, we love it. I was left breathless by this book, desperately wanting the next one NOW. I think you'll love it too.

Werewolf Descent earns 4 stars for sexy vampires and werewolves, mysteries and a cool pet that you can ride on.
