In the Forests of the Night (Goblin Wars #2) by Kersten Hamilton

I was super excited to receive an ARC of In the Forests of the Night during BEA.  I really enjoyed Tyger, Tyger and In the Forests of the Night did not disappoint!  Here's the Goodreads blurb:

The battle against goblinkind continues . . . but which side will Teagan be on?

Teagan, Finn, and Aiden have made it out of Mag Mell alive, but the Dark Man’s forces are hot on their heels. Back in Chicago, Tea’s goblin cousins show up at her school, sure she will come back to Mag Mell, as goblin blood is never passive once awoken. Soon she will belong to Fear Doirich and join them. In the meantime, they are happy to entertain themselves by trying to seduce, kidnap, or kill Tea’s family and friends. Tea knows she doesn’t have much time left, and she refuses to leave Finn or her family to be tortured and killed. A wild Stormrider, born to rule and reign, is growing stronger inside her. But as long as she can hold on, she’s still Teagan Wylltson, who plans to be a veterinarian and who heals the sick and hurting. The disease that’s destroying her—that’s destroying them all—has a name: Fear Doirich. And Teagan Wylltson is not going to let him win.
What an amazing second book!  In the Forests of the Night jumps right back into the lives of the Wylltsons and the story continues fast paced and exciting.  I really enjoyed Finn in this one.  He's SUCH a lovely character.  He really is.  I don't think that there's any way that you can read this series and NOT love Finn.  He's exceptional for a teenage boy.  He's fearless, strong and loyal.  Finn puts everyone else first and has no illusions about his future.  He's ridiculously mature for someone so young.  I also love Aiden, even though his name is something of a misnomer.  Aiden means fiery and ill tempered.  Aiden is like a little angel.  He doesn't have a nasty bone in his sweet little body.  He has a gift for song and his voice is magic, LITERALLY.  This series is epic.  I love how the characters all grab you and suck you into their world.  Kersten Hamilton has a gift.  Everyone should read her books.

You can find out more about Kersten Hamilton and her work on her website.  You can click here to find the Goblin Wars Books on Goodreads.

In the Forests of the Night earns 5 Fairies for an wonderfully real yet magical world with lovely characters.
