The second book that I'm featuring today is The Girl in the Clockwork Collar by Kady Cross. I had the good fortune of meeting her at BEA this year and last. I love steampunk and I love Kady Cross' flair and style. The Steampunk Chronicles series is amazing and I have both books signed on my shelf. You can check out my review here. Here's the Goodreads blurb:

My favorite book this year was Cinder.
One of my favorites I read this year was The Hunger Games series.
Hooray for BIR!!! Lots of favorites read this year but I LOVED The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa! Close second was Rick Yancy's Monstrumologist Series (The Monstrumologist, Curse of the Wendigo, and The Isle of Blood. They sound creepy but they are superbly written and I am not a reader of "creepy" at all!)
Another of my favorites was For Darkness Shows the Stars. So many great books this year!
