Original Sin (Personal Demons Book 2) by Lisa Desrochers

It's time to review the copy of Original Sin that I got signed at BEA!  I am so excited to share this with you!  Make sure to add Original Sin and Personal Demons to your Goodreads "To Read" list- you can just click on the titles and the links will take you to the book pages on Goodreads.  You should also show Lisa Desrochers (and LUC!) some love by pre-ordering on Amazon, Book Depository or at your local independent bookstore!  You still have time to order a copy before the book drops on July 5th.

Check out the sweet cover!  You have Gabe standing behind Frannie and Luc stalking in the background.  Yes, that's right.  Gabe struts like a model and Luc stalks like a jungle cat.  Yet another reason to be Team Luc!

This book was far more action packed than the first one but as a member of Team Luc, it was a little hard on my heart!  Frannie has changed Luc for the better with her love for him as her determination to keep him has caused him to literally change.  But you can't hide from Hell for long and Frannie's new guardian angel is still pretty new to this guardian gig.  Gabe realizes that he is too tempted by Frannie and that if he were to fall, he could no longer keep her safe.  What will happen and how will they make it through as all Hell breaks loose in Frannie's life?

In the interest of keeping this as spoiler free as possible so that you'll be enticed to read these books, I am going to be very vague and mysterious, sorry!  Original Sin has more action than Personal Demons and more sexual shenanigans so it is probably not for the under 16 set.  I loved it though because there was plenty of Luc and Frannie.  I didn't so much dig a character who is new to this book who even gets to narrate in between Luc and Frannie's chapters.  Matt, Frannie's twin brother and guardian angel is anti-Luc and that annoyed me.  He also wasn't very good at being Frannie's guardian- especially the guarding and the rule about  not interfering in her life.  There are a bunch of demons after Frannie and Luc which leads to some crazy events.  You really just have to read this one because there is just SO much action packed into it!  At the end, we come away shocked, a little creeped out and generally worried for the future.  The cliff hanger ending is going to haunt me until book three comes out.  But you won't be sorry if you give these books a chance.  I loved them and devoured both book over a period of 36 hours.  I read them at home, in the car, at the doctor's office- I could NOT put them down.  So go and buy a copy of Personal Demons and get your pre-order in for Original Sin- now!  I think that once you read them, you'll go to the dark side too!

Original Sin earns 5 Fairies for a hot as hell demon with a heart of gold.

I loved Personal Demons and can't wait for more Luc! Great review! I'm not really excited about Matt's point of view since from what I saw in the first book I don't like him so much.
