Forever Hers by Ednah Walters Blog Tour

Hi guys!  Today I have a review of Ednah Walter's newest Fitzgerald Family book, Forever Hers, as part of the blog tour organized by Christina at Intoxicated by Books.  I'm really excited to share this book and this phenomenal author with you all.  Here's the cover and the blurb:

She wants her past hidden...

Amy Kincaid is running from her controlling ex-husband, who will stop at nothing to find her. With a new identity and a new job as a housekeeper, she just wants to be left alone to raise her daughter. Then Eddie Fitzgerald rolls into town and turns her world upside down.

He’s in the business of exposing the truth...

Eddie Fitzgerald, L.A.P.D.'s finest, lives for his job and nothing else, until he decides to take a break at the family summer home and is held at gunpoint by the most annoying, sassiest woman to ever cross his path. But something is off about Amy, and the more he learns about her, the more he’s convinced she’s a fugitive.

When her past catches up to her, Amy has no choice but to trust Eddie. Unfortunately, Eddie has demons of his own, and struggles with the decision to protect her or uphold the law.

The truth takes them down a deadly path, and only love can save them.
I love this series!  It has relatively clean romance and lots of mystery/suspense.  Eddie has been a recurring player in many of the previous books of this series and it is finally his turn to get his happily ever after.  This love story is definitely a case of not getting what you want but instead getting just what you need.  Amy Kincaid is a woman after my own heart who is determined to never be a victim again.  She's adamant about being her own woman and not depending on anyone.  Neither character is perfect and their lives have certainly changed them and possibly even damaged them but they are determined to come out better for having had their horrible experiences.  The thing I loved about the ex-husband mystery that Amy and Eddie have to solve is that you can't see all of the answers from the beginning.  There is no obvious solution.  You uncover each piece of the puzzle at the same time that Amy and Eddie do and to me, that is the true mark of a mystery writer.  What good is a book where I know what is going to happen for chapters before the characters do.  This book is a great read and perfect for a lazy Saturday or a warm spring afternoon.

You can click here to find The Fitzgerald Series on Goodreads.  You can also find Ednah Walters on her website, her blog and on Twitter.  You can like the series page on Facebook.  You can find Forever Hers for purchase in print on Amazon.  It is also available for Kindle.
