Sophie & Carter by Chelsea Fine

A while back, I won a signed copy of Sophie and Carter by Chelsea Fine.  I'd been seeing it all over the blogosphere and I really was excited to read it.  I finally got to read it as part of my Taking Control of your TBR Pile challenge.  Here's the blurb and cover:

While other high school seniors are dreaming about their futures, Sophie and Carter are just trying to make it through each day. I loved this novella!  It was so emotional and sweet.  Sophie and Carter are teens who became adults well before they should have had to but they are surprisingly well adjusted.  They have gone through some truly horrible things but they are making it work for them.  They could have just crashed and burned and followed their parents down but they didn't.  The characters really have a great deal of heart.  Carter is so sweet when he cares for his mom and he helps Sophie with her siblings better than plenty of men who have children of their own.  Sophie works herself ragged to care for The Littles and to be able to pull her family out of their current situation.  It's sad to see children have to replace or care for their parents but these two kids pull it off spectacularly.  I highly recommend this one!!
