No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal. But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible. This book is an emotional read, that is for sure. Noah and Echo drag you into their lives from the first lines of this book. You feel for them and you want them to succeed in getting beyond their circumstances. They both fell pretty fall, socially, but they come to realize that the fall might have been the best thing that has ever happened to them. I really loved that this book was told from both perspectives. The chapters switch back and forth between Noah and Echo. It keeps you reading to see what is coming next. You also get to see more of the story that way. Once you start reading, there is no way you can put this book down. The characters are engaging and real. I loved this one from start to finish.
Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.
You can click here to add this book to your Goodreads. You can find Katie McGarry on her website, Facebook and Twitter. On April 1, Crossing the Line, a Pushing the Limits novella was released. The second book in the series, Dare You To will be released on May 28th. I will be reviewing it soon. Pushing the Limits earns 5 Fairies for a great book that tears you to bits before building you back up.
