Book Seven in the Supernatural Mates series. This was an interesting short story. The tone is completely different than the tone of Banded Brothers. Banded Brothers is lighter, maybe? I still enjoyed this book because it was interesting to think of a hawk and a lion together. Such different animals but they work together. The story has some action and suspense but it is not too terribly triggering. There is some talk of being held captive that may be triggering to some readers. Cesar is a darling. He is so adorable in his attitude toward Garret. Garret is the smaller animal but his personality comes across stronger than Cesar's. Cesar is an alpha of sorts in his own way. It's an incredible relationship that they begin together.
When a bleeding lion shifter collapses in the alley outside his restaurant, Garret Halcon discovers the one thing missing in his life was love.
Garret Halcon found a lion shifter bleeding behind the alley in his restaurant. Unusually attached to a complete stranger, he follows him to the hospital.
Cesar's sweet temperament and ability to lead attracts Garret as much as his sexy body. When he runs into the problem of too many alphas in one town he has to prove to Talan he can be a successful member of the pride without being a problem.
Will Cesar be able to complete a task set to him by the lion alpha or will he die for the sake of his pride?
You can find author Amber Kell on her blog and website. You can find the Supernatural Mates series on Goodreads. I give Protecting His Pride 3 Fairies for an interesting and dynamic romance.
